The fruit was hand harvested on 9 and 29 March and soaked for 4 days before a spontaneous fermentation starte. No yeast was added, and a warm open ferment ensued until pressing off skins after 18 days. Aged in 33 % new French oak barrels for 16 months prior to careful barrel selection of the best blend 2 weeks before bottling. Rough filtration shortly before bottling on 01 August 2019.

The nose is showing some earthy notes complemented by a lifted interplay between black forest fruits, cocoa, and a touch of funk. In the mouth the fruit is plush with racy black plum and Campari.
