Wambuul Valley, Wiradjuri Country

Made by the Renzaglia family.

Welcome to Renzaglia Wines

The foundations of Renzaglia Wines were laid in 1982, in the most unlikely of places, when winemakers Guy and Betty Renzaglia planted a small vineyard in the dry county of Alto Pass, Illinois, USA. Fifteen years later, their son Mark and his wife Sandy established their eponymous label in the Wambuul Valley, within the cool climes of New South Wales’ Central Ranges.

Our Winemaking

Today, third-generation winegrower Sam Renzaglia has taken the winemaking reins, expanding the range with new wines that showcase the breadth of styles possible across this diverse wine-growing zone.

our vineyards

We farm a number of sites within the Wambuul Valley. From our original home vineyard Bella Luna, to Winooka Park where Sam lives, Casey’s at Oberon and Mt Panorama Estate. We also work with like-minded grape growers across the diverse Central Ranges of NSW. The granitic, rolling hills West of the great divide are the perfect locale for the production of high quality, cool climate wines.

2024 Renzaglia ‘Winooka Park’
Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

“Quite understated and pleasingly persistent, a charming, savoury-leaning red wine of restraint and finesse.” The Winefront, Mike Bennie

2025 Renzaglia Central Ranges
Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris from good friends who we have a close working relationship these days; Steve Mobbs and Nadja Wallington. The grapes are derived from their estate vineyard at 900m ASL North East of Orange.

Renzaglia Wambuul Chardonnay

2024 Renzaglia ‘Wambuul’ Chardonnay

“A charismatic white wine, textural, nuanced in inherent chardonnay character but with dashes of green almond, pleasing bitter herbal characters, botanical notes and a slip of sweet spice. ” The Wine Front, Mike Bennie

“This is a really cool wine. I love its genuine personality…”

INTRODUCING our new RenzagliaWambuul’ Range of wines. The Fish, Campbells and Macquarie rivers are all known as Wambuul by the Wiradjuri people. The Renzaglia vineyards lie within the Wambuul Valley, now the namesake for three new wines: the 2024 Renzaglia ‘Wambuul’ Cabernet Sauvignon, 2024 Renzaglia ‘Wambuul’ Shiraz and 2024 Renzaglia ‘Wambuul’ Chardonnay.

The wines we title Wambuul are the result of blending grapes from our vineyards. The vineyards in question include our Bella Luna Vineyard, Winooka Park, Casey’s Vineyard and the Mount Panorama Vineyard.

“This is a really cool wine. I love its genuine personality. It’s not polished within an inch of its life, nor is it trying to be a Shiraz like every other. Credit to its maker, Sam Renzaglia… A slurpable delight, it’s a seamless sheet woven with interest and joy in equal doses.” QWine Reviews reviewing our Renzaglia ‘Wambuul’ Shiraz 2024.

Mark’s parents, Guy and Betty Renzaglia planted their first grape vines on their new vineyard site in Alto Pass, Illinois in 1982. At the time, Alto Pass was a dry county (no alcohol production or sales allowed) and the grape industry of Illinois was virtually non-existent.
