2022 Renzaglia Tempranillo Graciano

Earthy, dark fruited and assertive. Our ode to some of Spains great wines and a sign of many more wines like this to come under the Renzaglia label.

Made from Tempranillo (65%) and Graciano (35%) fruit grown at the Freeman Vineyard at Kingsvale, in the Hilltops harvested on 1 April and 21 April respectively. The Tempranillo was whole berry fermented in a 2000L stainless steel tank and the Graciano was whole bunch fermented for 10 days prior to being pressed onto the Tempranillo skins. The Graciano and Tempranillo was macerated together for 2 months prior to pressing to barrels (25% new). The wines remained in barrel for 10 months with 1 racking in that period prior to being blended to tank in the Autumn of 2023. The wine was held in tank for 6 months prior to being bottled without fining of filtration in late September ‘23.
