$38.00 inc. GST
A seductive and spicey cool climate Shiraz that is light, yet complex- full of fruit, earth and savoury tannins.
WINEMAKING NOTES

Made with fruit sourced from 2 different vineyards in the Orange GI from which we selected the best barrels to make this Shiraz. There were 4 different components that this wine is made up of. 1 new Sirugue barrique and 50% of a new Taransaud barrique which both contained fruit from the Amaroo road Vineyard in Orange which was fermented with 20% whole bunches. Of the fruit that came from Boreelane, 1 old barrique contained wine that was made from machine picked fruit and the another old barrique held a portion of fruit that was fermented as 100% whole bunches. All were fermented with wild yeasts and aged for 10 months on full fermentation lees. It was this blend of components that we thought made the most harmonious and compelling wine possible.

The wine was bottled on the 10th of March 2022 without any fining and a light filtration.

TASTING NOTES

This is a beautifully elegant Shiraz where savoury spice is complemented by alluring fruit. The color is very light being from a cooler year. On the nose there is satsuma plum and red cherry complemented by exotic spice evoking cardamon, fennel and orange rind. Beautiful acid and a silky texture make this a Shiraz that is sure to please even the pickiest of drinkers.
